DATA PROTECTION AND THE PRIVACY OF INFORMATION

All the information on individuals and organisations that is carried in the databases on the site is entered directly by those individuals and organisations and can be modified or deleted by them at any time. (Instructions on addition/modification and deletion are given in the appropriate sections of the site). We do not add to or modify these entries in any way – although we reserve the right to delete inappropriate or duplicate entries. We also delete entries when their time allowed on the site expires. The date of such deletion is given in advance to all individuals/organisations. We do not add entries to the databases – all entries are made by the individuals/organisation featured.

We do not collect information from any individual or organisation without their knowledge. We do not collect information, eg E mail addresses, from those who browse the site.

'Cookies' (small text files a Web site can use to recognise a repeat visitor to the site) are used. Their only purpose is to enable us to be able to highlight entries in the databases which are new since your last visit - to facilitate your search of the data. You may delete the cookie on your PC – without otherwise affecting the nature of the information/service provided by the site.

We do not transfer or make available any of the information, including contact information - names, E mails addresses etc, to any other persons/bodies. However given the purpose of the site the information carried here is available to users of the site. The site's 'Partner' organisation have full access to all information entered by individuals (Graduates and Students), other users having more limited access. All information entered by organisations (Employers, Recruiters and Business Schools) is available to all users of the site

Partner organisations are those which feature in the Employers database and the Business Schools database. These organisation have full access to all information entered in the Graduates database by individuals. Partner organisations can be identified by going to the Employers and Schools databases and using the search facility to list details

Users of the site are unable to modify any of the information carried on the site – other than that which they placed there themselves. Information carried on the site can only be modified/deleted by those with the appropriate passcode. The passcodes issued by us to individuals or organisations are not made available by us to other persons/bodies. It is the responsibility of individuals/organisation to ensure the privacy of their own passcode. Replacement passcodes can be issued on request.

By encouraging responsible behaviour by those who submit their information, we aim to ensure that all the data on the site is accurate. We do not knowingly carry non factual information, hence it is our intention to try to ensure that all the individuals, organisations, jobs and vacancies that are featured on the site are real. We cannot however accept any liability for any consequences arising from the use of the information (including the Advice pages) provided by the site.
